George Kowalski

To share a little about myself, I was born in Poland and educated as a veterinary surgeon. In 1979 I migrated to Australia and in 1982 established my flagship company, Nature's Goodness together with my wife, Sophie.

Within a short period of time Nature's Goodness became the largest manufacturer of Bee Products in Australia with Propolis as our core product. Our success in Australia was followed by overseas markets and in the mid 90's Propolis became Japan's #1 selling health product.

Our products' popularity grew and in 1995 we started Orielton Laboratories, a contract manufacturing operation which quickly became a leader within the health and beauty industry. Additionally, while following my passion as a private helicopter pilot I spent a considerable amount of time travelling around Australia, exploring the more remote regions of this amazing country of ours.

It was during this time that I was able to visit and connect with numerous Aboriginal communities where I was exposed to traditional Aboriginal foods, medicines and other wild resources. However, a chance meeting with a wild food industry legend - Vic Cherikoff - lead to a collaboration with a sound and exciting basis for the next and possibly my most important step in sharing the wonders of the Australian outback.

Together, we have developed and launched a product that we are exceptionally proud of: Kakadu Complex®.

Commentary: George's contract manufacturing facility next door to Kakadu International head quarters is a Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) registered factory and George is approaching 30 years in the highly competitive nutriceutical industry- proof of his business skills and management abilities.

The Science Behind Kakadu Complex

Antioxidants:

We strongly recommend that you download the pdf on the Nutritional value of the ingredients in Kakadu . It is a detailed summary and points out just how unique our product really is and we hope that you'll pass on the link to anyone you know who might be interested in improving their health.

Much of the information in our e-book comes from this Australian Government Report (pdf provided) on research which was conducted independently of Kakadu International. Please note that the company did not contribute any funding or support which may have lead detractors to claim a bias in the results.

Here is a summary of the findings:

This report represents the first systematic evaluation of antioxidant capacity and the identification of its sources along with the presence of potentially bioactive phytochemicals (phenolic compounds and carotenoids) and selected vitamins.

The research also included an evaluation of minerals, focusing especially on those that protect human DNA against mutations that can lead to the development of a range of chronic diseases.

Australian species evaluated in this study exhibited superior antioxidant capacity as compared to the Blueberry standard, renowned worldwide as a health-promoting fruit.

In comparison to commonly consumed fruits that comprise predominantly hydrophilic antioxidants, Australian native foods contained antioxidant activity in both hydrophilic and lipophilic fractions. This suggests more comprehensive protection from oxidative stress and possibly more pronounced health benefits.

All of the evaluated plant species were found to contain vitamin E and folate. Rich sources of lutein, a compound essential for eye health are also present, as were magnesium, zinc and calcium, all important for the synthesis and self-repair of human DNA. Additionally, sources of valuable selenium were identified.
